Important: Do NOT include the title of your piece in the content
area below. The title should only be entered in the “Title” field. Including it in
both places will cause your title to appear twice in the anthology.
Formatting Guidelines: Aside from using normal font, the journal also accepts words in
italic formatting (e.g. italicized words in other languages, etc.). However, please refrain from using bold, underline, or any
special characters including Webdings, Wingdings, glyphs, or unusual fonts. Use of these types of fonts or special formatting will trigger an invalid response to the server. This might cause your submission to not be received.
In this submission process, we no longer accept Absence of Field pieces, graphics, images, or
unusual typography. If your piece has a visual counterpart, you may email us to see if it might be appropriate for the publication.
For poetry submissions:
- Maximum 70 lines, counting blank lines between stanzas.
- No more than 70 characters per line.
- Use Shift+Return (ENTER) for line breaks “within” a stanza.
- Use Return (ENTER) only for stanza breaks (to create an extra line between stanzas).
For prose or prose-poetry submissions:
- DO NOT INDENT PARAGRAPHS. (All paragraphs will be correctly indented on our end.)
- Use only Return (ENTER) for paragraph breaks. (Our template will automatically indent the next sentence.)
- DO NOT use Shift+Return at the end of your prose paragraph.
- Shift+Return is ONLY for poetry line breaks.
- Return (ENTER) is only for stanza breaks (not line breaks) or paragraph breaks in prose.
Your submission should not be more than 500 words.
